Who are we?
VITA XXI is a micro-consulting company focused on sustainability education, training, learning outside the classroom and environmental issues.
VITA XXI began in 2005 working for a Spanish Regional Government, coordinating the Environmental Volunteering program in Natura 2000 spaces in the Region of Murcia. 5 different environmental action projects were established, from marine habitats, through sand dunes, salt flats, peri-urban green areas to Mediterranean forests. After 8 years, these action projects were transformed into civil society organizations that are now partners in the participatory management plan of each protected area. Helping in this process was a very valuable experience for VITA XXI.
This allowed VITA XXI to work together on volunteering, participation, and association initiatives, including collaborating on the drafting of a regional participation law, thanks to one of its international networks of self-employed professionals. In addition, VITA XXI has collaborated with the Hippocampus Association since 2008 on a citizen science project to protect seahorses in the Mar Menor (a coastal lagoon in the southeast of Spain) and also on a project of circular economy: Plumbum project. Recovering lead from coastal areas.
